Coughing? Here's How To Naturally Relieve It!

It's that time of year! The holidays are wonderful time for getting together and celebrating with all of your loved ones, friends, family, and coworkers! Since most of our holiday festivities are spent indoors, getting sick is inevitable. Viruses spread so quickly during the winter months. With viruses like the common cold and flu, there isn't much we can do but rest and wait it out. Even though they have to run their course, you still want some relief from that painful sore throat and irritating cough, right?


It's easy to reach for cough syrup to relieve your cold symptoms. In America, billions of dollars are spent on over-the-counter medications every year. Are these medications even effective, you ask? Studies have shown that they aren't... So why are we still spending money on them when you can get proven, natural relief from honey and lemon?


It is best to use LOCAL honey! You can find local honey in your area by checking THIS website! Mix 1-2 teaspoons of honey into 8 ounces of warm water or tea (I love to use green tea) and squeeze fresh lemon juice (amount can be to your liking) or use a few drops of lemon essential oil (I prefer fresh squeezed lemon) into your drink. Stir and enjoy! You can drink this 2-3 times a day to help with your cold/flu symptoms!
